Graven Craig was born and reared in Central Virginia. Graven is an attorney in Louisa who has his own practice and is a partner in a firm that specializes in defense of gun rights and the preservation of the 2nd Amendment. He is classified as a “Super Lawyer,” a designation only handed out to the top 5% of attorneys in Virginia. He has carried this distinction for six consecutive years beginning in 2011.
Graven began working in politics in the 6th grade helping Republican House of Delegate candidates at local High School football games. He continued volunteering for congressional candidates throughout his High School and college years and eventually made his way to the White House, working in both a Republican administration and a presidential re-election campaign.
Graven currently serves as the chairman of Louisa County Republican Committee. He also serves on the committee to interview candidates seeking to serve as the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia in the Trump Administration, having been appointed by Congressman Dave Brat.
Graven resides in Louisa County with his wife of 21 years, Kelly, and their three children Caroline, Fields, and Eli.
